HTC-Highroad sprinter Matt Goss took 1st in Sunday’s Cancer Council Classic, adding another victory to the team’s 2011 season. Goss started the criterium in Adelaide, Australia as the top favorite. His victory was compounded by his team-mate and lead-out man Mark Renshaw finishing second to take the top two podium spots. With this win along with 2 stages and the overall at the Jayco Classic, Goss’ season is off to a brilliant start.
These are all great signs that Team HTC-Highroad will be a major player in the Tour Down Under starting this Tuesday.
